I wanted to create a scene that both promoted
my book and had fun with reading. I first thought of a library scene, then
it struck me--where do we really read our romance novels?
I filled a Chrysnbon tub with bubble bath (beads,
tiny glass marbles, and glue). The pot of irises were a kit, and I purchased
the cat, bathmat, and floor tiles.
I made the box of bon bons and glass of
iced tea (ice cubes from plastic canvas and amber glass stain in a Chysnbon
glass) on the Chrysnbon stool. The tray of bath salts/bubble bath I made
from beads I bought at Cocopah Beads in Sedona, Arizona.
I reduced my book cover (front and back) on my
computer and glued it to a Houseworks book and hung it over the tub.
Everything's ready for the lady of the house to
lie back and enter a world of dreams. . .
The doorprize went to Sandy Leeds who much admired
it.
