Thanks to everyone for the enthusiastic response to Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie. I'm blown away! It's getting amazing reviews and generating many discussions.
To answer some questions I've already seen: The series is straight historical, not paranormal; and Ian has Asperger's Syndrome, a form of high-functioning autism; Ian is not a virgin nor sexually immature. :-)
About the series:
Meet the Mackenzies, rich, decadent, powerful, dangerous:
Hart: The duke, the leader of the brothers. He's a powerful political player with dark secrets in his past.
Cameron: He's a genius with horses, has a scarred face and more scars inside.
Mac: A painter extraordinaire, he gives away his paintings and teaches up-and-coming artists, has a broken marriage and a broken heart.
Ian: The Mad Mackenzie. He spent years in a private asylum until Hart obtained his release. He's eccentric, with a prodigious memory, and is isolated and alone.
Book two: Lady Isabella's Scandalous Marriage is Mac and Isabella's story. This book is contracted, but I don't yet have a pub date.

What's next:
First, I am in the process of redesigning my website. My designer is working on cool new graphics and series pages, which should be ready soon.
Next, I'm excited about a paranormal series, scheduled for January 2010, the first book: Pride Mates. Twenty years ago, shape shifters of all kinds banded together and announced themselves to the world, only to be shunted to areas no human wanted ("Shifter-towns") and forced to wear collars that control their hunting and fighting instincts.
Liam Morrissey is currently liaison between the Shifters of Austin, TX, and the humans of the city. Kim Fraser, attorney, finds herself in the unique position of having to defend a Shifter on a murder charge.
She ventures to Shifter-town to seek out Liam's help, and there stumbles across too many secrets the Shifters want kept secret. The un-mated Liam is forced to protect Kim against the wrath of his clan leader and his own father, and to his surprise he discovers a powerful attraction to the sassy, sexy lady.
Book One of Shifters Unbound. (I should have a cover to post soon.)

And in my other life:
In Jan 2009, an erotic paranormal romance Mortal Temptations released from Berkley Heat under my my Allyson James name. It's smoking hot! Handle with oven mitts.
Book two of this series: Mortal Seductions will be released in September 2009. This is Demitri's story: Demitri, a sexy tiger shape-shifting demigod, must help a former lover, Valerie, to escape the wrath of the gods. The mortal (but another shifter), Leon, a Cajun ex-soldier, is the only one who can help them. (Needless to say, this one is scorching too. These books are put out under Berkley's HEAT line).
Please check my site www.allysonjames.com. (Warning, while my Allyson James books are romances, they are volcanic!)
And then . . . I just inked a contract as Allyson James with Berkley for three books in an urban fantasy/paranormal romantic suspense featuring a half-Navajo woman who investigates paranormal crimes and draws her own power from the desert storms. (I live in the desert southwest and believe me the storms are both beautiful and terrible.) This series will be a cross between mystery, romance, and paranormal/urban fantasy (think Tony Hillerman meets Charlaine Harris or Patricia Briggs).
I'll also be in two Christmas anthologies in October 2009. With Berkley as Allyson James, I have a story with the same setting as the forthcoming urban fantasy, called "A Little Night Magic." The second anthology will be published by Leisure under my Jennifer Ashley name, and will feature Mary and Baron Valentin from Highlander Ever After ("The Longest Night," in A Christmas Ball).
Also, check out my other mystery series as Ashley Gardner (historical, Regency mysteries). More about the series at www.gardnermysteries.com.
